I'D GIVE THE WORLD

I'd give the world to see your smile
and sit and talk with you awhile,
Your memory still beguiles
Oh - I'd give the world to see your beautiful smile.

I'd give the world to look into loving eyes,
Filled with truth, never lies.
The love reflected, never disguised,
Oh - how I'd give the world to look int your loving eyes

I'd give the world if we talked heart to heart,
I'd learn about your life before we had to part.
Always, I felt your love, right from the start,
Oh - I'd give the world to talk to your heart.

I'd give the world to connect soul to soul
Loss is painful, death takes it's toll.
It's been so long, but there's still an empty hole,
Oh - I'd give the world to connect to your soul.

I'd give the world on Fathers Day to say I love you,
And Thank You for a million things loving and true
Now I stand by your grave, It's all I can do,
Oh - I'd give the world on Father's Day, to say I Love You.

My father was a WWII vet and POW . . . something he rarely spoke of.

I often wonder what his day to day existence was like in the camp - -
how he survived . . . So often we don't make an effort to learn  things while we can.
I know I didn't, and there was a
great story there . . .
