SWEET ANGEL
Sleep tight little
angel, rest your tired wings,
Soothed by the knowledge
that love is what you bring.
You come to earth
to comfort, cushion mortals as they fall,
A guardian of peace
and love, here to guide us all.
Oh, you look so fragile,
so beautiful and sweet,
And joyfully put music
in the hearts of those you meet.
Where are you little
angel, do you hide in the palm of a hand,
Or, rest on weary
shoulders across our troubled land?
When angels do appear,
do they hear our call,
Gently healing broken
hearts, lending comfort to us all.
Angels rise to the
occasion, somehow they always know,
When life becomes
too hard, an angel's presence shows.
